Easter Project 2009

It is for the first time we had young people involved in gardening proper! During the first week of April 2009young people, many of them form the estate, worked on a community garden, planting, moving soil, building raised beds and planning. Not only their manual skills were in demand, but maths and team building skills helped. During the afternoons the participants designed personal and joined logo for Blenheim Garden gardening project.

BG Easter project is a partnership project between Clapham Youth Centre, BG Edible Estate and Relton Close Organic Garden.

The garden project is being supported after the Easter project. We support three young people as BG Garden Rangers.

Young people worked with Morgan Paton and Felix Gonzales, created a logo, went to the South Bank for paint spraying party and filmed what they did.

The most enthusiastic young people received Foot Locker vouchers. The newly created logo is now adopted as a trade mark for BG Edible Estate project.
